And yet every woman I know who wore high heel on a regular basis ended up with foot problems when they got older.
Or walk like they have bricks for feet when barefoot.

This message brought to you by the high-heeled shoe industry.

I kinda guess that at 4.5 miles per hour I am already a pretty efficient walker. And I will never, ever wear high heels again.

Riiight. Okay, we'll just require tight-rope walking classes in grade school, now. Enjoy.

Amusing, but it’s worth noting that this study did not involve walking on 👠. They wore flat Chuck Taylors with wedges in them. So balance wasn’t an issue.

Yeah they weren't even high heels but Frankenstein boots. Chuck Taylors alone aren't good for your feet since there's no support in them.

Did Ron DeSantis write this?

Note that 'more efficient walking' means using less energy to do the same task. Because we've been begging for a way to burn fewer calories while walking. Wear heels, and you'll need to walk a longer distance to get the same exercise benefit you got before heels!

As someone who grew up in Vermont, I walk heel-heavy because it's the best way not to trip and fall when walking on uneven, sloped, or slippery surfaces. And, of course, perpetual wearing of high-heeled shoes will shorten your Achilles tendon.

My last attempt at heels was around 1969. No. Never again.

This is going to go over *so well* on hellsite... 🤭

I’d rather have painful root canal than wear heels.

Vomiting sentences. Not a good look.
You’d get the same effect doing road marches.

The study use Chuck Taylor shoes....those flat shoes aren't supportive at all. They should compare a proper tennis shoe. Flats like ballet flats are really bad for your feet. You need arch support!
