from now until Election Day, we connect every story back to Project 2025 Eg: The FBI is currently investigating the Trump shooter. But did you know that Project 2025 will place the FBI under Trump’s direct control, so he can decide which acts of political violence get investigated, and which don’t?

Can't get this out of my brain. There's something so perfect about it for the moment we're in. And then there are the Larry David wigs in the video... www.youtube.com/watch?v=094d...

Wonder if any c18 history 🗃️ friends might be able to help decipher some handwriting. I'm looking at a diary of a rather mature Yale undergrad (he's 22 in 1788) in which he mentions reading a "journal" of someone's "letters." The names are a bit unclear. This is followed by a blacked-out paragraph.

Don't worry they will unfreeze him in episode 6.
This is terrifying???? Why does he have zombie hands???? What the fuck is with the butterfly?? Why does he look like the devil incarnate??? "Queen Camilla is said to have looked at the painting and told Yeo: "Yes, you've got him.""

The speed with which many of our faux free speech fundamentalists started demanding the use of state force to punish pro Palestinian protesters is remarkable, they do not even seem to perceive a contradiction

How rude of them to make me carry 50 (!) books, mostly ancient, heavy, and falling apart, back to circulation for in-person renewal. And rude to remind me that I've had these books checked out for more than 10 years. (Ouch!)

A sad farewell to Damo Suzuki (1950-2024), who between 1970 and 1973 led pioneering German band Can through its unquestionable peak, and pretty much lived on a never-ending world tour since then.

I had no idea Ezra Tawil passed away last month. Just heartbreaking. We organized a reading group for NYC early Americanists in the 00s and spent a lot of time together. I'm so sad.
