I just told my wife (who married me over 40 years ago) a dozen or so stories from the distant past that she's no doubt heard before, and she acted like it was the first time. We always do that for each other.

This guide to Starter Packs keeps updating so is worth checking periodically.
In lieu of a directory for browsing Starter Packs I made this feed. It captures the first post of a thread (no replies or reposts) with go.bsky.app links. It's a shortcut, but this might be a decent proxy for a while bsky.app/profile/did:...

And this was the best post of the night about the Debate.
Donald Trump cannot answer straightforward questions about anything. He can’t answer them from regular people; he can’t answer them on a debate stage, and he can’t answer them under oath — at least if he doesn’t want a perjury charge. And he’s not the answer for this country or this election.

Watched the Debate commentary on deckblue and feel BlueSky is a pretty good platform for this kind of thing. That's fortunate since I've dropped my X-Pro subscription as of yesterday.

There were some weird American accents when I lived there; but listening to the American tourists who come to Tokyo these days, it seems most of them now talk with low voices from the back of their throats and I can hardly understand what they are saying. Even some TV announcers now talk that way.

Am increasingly coming to see the US as a huge attention-sucking country full of detestable people, a net-negative force in the world. Far from the only one, but certainly among the worst like Russia.

Dozens of violent tornadoes today in Iowa and Nebraska, but Xitter is still the only place to see the many videos by storm chasers. The sad truth is that all the "alternatives" to Xitter are just niche platforms, which is fine if you are content with a niche, but not if you crave more than that.

Are there no "storm" people on this platform? I have been watching numerous videos of tornadoes and other current storms in places like Iowa, UAE, and Oman, all on Xitter, but can't find any here.
