it does seem like hochul's objections to congestion pricing are that it would generate revenue through a toll and discourage certain car trips. which, like! that's the point!!!

this is what hochul said about the $15 toll schedule in december. what part of this changed? does she no longer want "cleaner air, better transit and less gridlock on New York City's streets"? does she not think NYC should be "a global leader in transportation policy"?

I think she dislikes every kind of toll on cars and has not really been honest about her views on the policy, and also is very sensitive about the House elections screwup in NY, and also is sensitive about Cuomo. I just think she’s never liked it and wanted to kill it.

I think she’s also very stubborn and not very smart, which is a bad combo. This happened with that weird episode with that judge she kept trying to appoint too.

But I have to speculate, because as you know she refuses to talk to anyone about this.

this is my belief too. She's a dangerous combination of extremely stubborn and extremely underqualified

She's a politician. Expect her to lie.

I don’t know how exactly Trump could kill the congestion fee, but I guess however he does it, the Supreme Court will say it’s OK.
