Some Millennials in my timeline are insecure because Gen Zs are telling them their ankle socks age them. I can't stress enough that you don't need to care about what a bunch of 20-somethings think about your clothes, mainly bc you don't have to care about what ANYONE thinks about your clothes.

#NowSpinning: Stray Cats, “Built for Speed” (1982) Their first American album, which was half from their first English release, and half from their second. This is their strongest album by far, and except for the lack of “(She’s) Sexy + 17”, it would effectively be a greatest hits. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

#JazzSky #NowSpinning: Jimmy Smith, “Got My Mojo Workin’” (1966) Jimmy does a lot of vocalizing on this one. Some people find it distracting. I think it really works. At any rate, he’s got a good supporting cast (Kenny Burrell and more) and Oliver Nelson arranged. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (good but not essential)

#BluesSky #NowSpinning: Elmore James, “One Way Out” (1980) If you like blues OR rock, you should have an Elmore James comp in your collection. This one has a good selection of songs, is well remastered, and sequenced well. And is a quality pressing. (I have three with minimal song overlap) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
