Elden Ring DLC is fucking great. I don't know what it is exactly but it does really reward trying new items, equipment, thinking, timing, ect. Beating a boss with no armour feels badass (after failing on them for four hours).

I need to use the block more often and not engage. Got into a couple days ago with a shit lib about "there is no possible way for Biden to step down so shut up and get behind him". Lo and behold he steps down.

Ok real talk. How the fuck does anyone focus on work with the world the way it is? I mean this genuinely. I don't know if it's just ADHD or what but I'm just dragging myself through each work day, enough to not get fired so my wife and I can eat. Nothing else though, it feels bad man.

Watched the nieces today with my wife. They can be a handful but they are very adorable. Being around children for 7+ hours really does reaffirm the decision for no kids.

I know it might be dumb, but I really am glad the Helldivers 2 situation turned out. In a micro way it feels like there truly is/can be a wave of "we the people". People are seeing collective power being used AND getting results. Feels like hopefully the end of a gilded age into progressive era.

Going to Scotland for two weeks with the wife in April. Never been outside of North America. Excited to see a bunch of nature, and just the thrill of finally going overseas.

I got a new short scale bass. Squier Paranormal Rascal. Auditioned for a new band too (made up of my friends) so I'm hopeful that goes well.

House is very dry and I wake up stuffy and with a migraine like everyday. Ugh

Going to vote after work today. Voting is still important, protesting is still important, building your community most important. Everything seems loud and critical all the time, try not to let other perspectives cloud your own view too much.

I got no sleep last night so I lied in bed till 4am and then I got up to finish the Cyberpunk DLC which I really like and then I popped a pill and then laid down at 7am RIGHT as my phone rang cause I'm on-call this week and I'm sleepy

I hate morning stand-up, I HATE MORNING STAND-UP. Always just a waste of fucking time, if I want to know what people are doing, I'll look at their dumb ass Visual Studio Board. Waste of time and I hate shit that interrupts my morning.

Straight up hate going into the office. Worked remotely for like 2 years, but because of billionaires, gotta make that office lease worth it. Dumb and distracting, remember to take as many office supplies as you want.

I hope I can turn my brain out of the ditch it has been in for the past couple years. Like I don't want to just "get through the week" there is nothing after but the next week. Want to feel alive again, motivated, content. It does not come easy to me but I know I can find myself again.

Got my flu vaccine and COVID boosters today. Hopefully I don't get mildly sick I usually do from the booster, fingers crossed.

What genre of video game can be played casually but also has some like depth to it? Example for me would be Thronefall, tower defense cute graphics and don't have to pay to much attention.
