Still marveling at Gorsuch's Ohio v. EPA opinion, in which he confused nitrogen oxide (a pollutant) with nitrous oxide (laughing gas). He did this five times, never once getting it right—in an opinion overruling the EPA's own expert scientific analysis! s3.documentcloud.org/documents/24...

This is what freaks me out. 2020 was so much closer than people remember if you actually look at the swing states that put Biden over the top.
Nationally, Biden beat Trump by more than 7 million votes in 2020. But in four battleground states that ultimately tipped the Electoral College to Biden – Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin – he won by fewer than 125,000 votes combined. www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/...

Biden appears to have mostly given up on campaigning against Trump, and his campaign is focused mostly around denying the obvious about his age. That only is more evidence he's not up to what he needs to do.

I'm sure you're also unaware that primaries exist for voters to make a choice? If there's no choice to be made, the election is little more than a formality. A matter of observing party rules.
Avatar
The argument that Biden "won" the primaries is pointless, since voters weren't presented with an actual choice. He won by default. A cactus could have won.

Ah ok, so "primaries" then.

I must have missed the debates where voters got to see the candidates make their case. Can you point me to them?

The barefaced lying, brazen gaslighting and total lack of shame are what defines the modern American Right. I can't imagine what it must be like to follow an ideology that needs to spew lies to justify its own existence. How hollow its devotees must be. How morally depraved.

You wonder how well left parties would do - bearing in mind they appear to have finished first here! - if 100% of the mainstream media coverage was not about how popular and ascendant the far right is and the noble bulwark of Grown Ups in the center.
BREAKING NEWS: Voters turned out in numbers not seen in decades to stop the far-right National Rally from taking power in the French National Assembly. Polls predicted a first-place finish for National Rally, which instead came in third in initial results as polling stations closed.

Amazing how far he came in such a short span of time. Just eight years after creating this primitive, almost childish drawing, he was dead, leaving behind one of the greatest bodies of work in the history of art.
