it's true, one time the deer ate every single hot dog and hamburger patty off our family reunion picnic table while we were taking pictures with grandma
thus the invention of the "potato salad sandwich" which haunts us to this day at every gathering ("overcooked turkey? well at least it's not potato salad sandwiches!"), to the bafflement of the youngest generation
I had a horse that was a total nuisance if he thought you had treats, & one time during a picnic he wouldn't leave me alone so I held out my salami sandwich for him to realize it wasn't a treat, but he snatched it out of my hand and ate it all
We had a cat that would steal pumpkin guts while we were carving Jack o'lanterns and run away to hide and eat them. He also likes tortillas and corn on the cob.
hahaha
i make horse cookies for my sister's horses, they're pretty basic with oats, apples, carrots, and molasses to bind it [basically equine candy] & i swear they can smell them in my pocket from across the pasture they way they come whickering at me
Trooper would greet everyone by first sniffing all of the areas clothes normally have pockets to check for treats, and if you didn't have any, he'd immediately swing around and demand ass scratches as consolation
He was the best! A gentle giant. His favorite treat was if you poured a little coffee in your hand and let him have some. I left a thermos in the field once and he stomped all over it trying to get to the coffee, lol
