Having watched all 10 episodes, I rest my case that the very best feature of "Orphan Black: Echoes" was the return of Jordan Gavaris as Felix: now a successful artist, a few decades older yet no less dashing, affectionate, or sarcastic. It just wouldn’t be Orphan Black without him!

Calling it the “Israel-Hamas War” is an interesting continued usage of style-guide propaganda to paper over how it is a war on the people of Gaza.

Wow. Not too surprising, but a revealing example of the (often unspoken) allegiance between higher ed. institutions in Canada and the more obvious systems of colonial repression.

The inability to read is crippling in today's society. Ironically, encouraging people to not read is elitist because it stratifies society into those who can read and those who can.

Thanks to Davide Mastracci for capturing all the disappointed frustration I too have been feeling about Canadaland's coverage (& non-coverage) of Palestine. Seriously, if there was ever a foreign policy moment when Canada's media NEEDED criticizing, it's now! www.readthemaple.com/canadaland-s...

E-sims are still desperately needed by Gazans and their families. if you show proof of your donation to Cartoonist Co-op's donation drive, you can pick a reward from one of our participating members! cartoonist.coop/esims4gaza
As Gaza's internet blackout reached its record *eighth* day today, I wrote about how people there can often only communicate with the outside world by using donated eSIMs and catching a roaming signal from across the Israeli or Egyptian border:
Palestinians are using donated eSIM cards to stay in touch with the outside worldwww.nbcnews.com Palestinians have faced numerous internet and phone blackouts throughout the months-long war.

Israel's war against Hamas is actually a war against children. Every Canadian has a responsibility to condemn Israel's unbelievable violence.
Imagine 72,264 children being murdered in less than 100 days.open.substack.com If we compare Gaza to Canada, we get a local sense of the breadth of the destruction

"Obviously [the provision of Pallet shelters to unhoused people] is better than living in a flimsy tent through a Nova Scotia winter. But has our baseline shifted such that homeless villages dotting our cities and towns is now the new normal?"
