The 'Restore Nature Now' in London on Saturday had some fantastically creative participants. I don't know how to upload a video on Bluesky, but see for instance this 'time is running out' tricycle, with a giant hourglass:

No, they don't. Green vegs like lettuce don't make us sick by themselves. E coli in lettuce/other vegs comes from the manure or slurry that's been used as fertiliser or has contaminated water (as it's the top cause of water pollution in the UK). It's well evidenced! news.sky.com/story/e-coli...

With the acceleration of the climate, biodiversity, air/water pollution (& health!) crises, isn't it worth being more ambitious with an action which, if farmers are supported, is win-win-win? Livestock is the top single cause of anthropogenic CH4 (& a key cause of N2O) emissions

Even in Europe, where outbreaks have been far fewer and weaker than in the US, and where they have receded this year compared to previous years, there have been over 3.5 million chicken culled (or killed by bird flu) in less than 4 months recently www.ecdc.europa.eu/sites/defaul...

Any search, as long as you weed out industry results, brings up lots of issues, especially to plant (of course!) and aquatic life, but also other animal and human health:

People are certainly influenced by availability and marketing, but they could still choose a small car - bearing in mind that what's considered 'small' today would have seemed gigantic when I got my first car in 1970 - and we managed quite well then (when average family size was bigger than now)!

Also, as with the conversation with Jonathan, there's bound to be a wide range of opinions as to what best actions might be, perhaps broadly coinciding with political stances, and that's normal & OK! (For instance I had just reposted this in a different conversation, from US scientist Peter Kalmus:

I don't see any harm in showing the benefits of going faster in that direction!

Indeed - and the minority that has, by a long way, the biggest impact on the planet (as per famous chart). But yes, I'm also very keen to promote plant-based diets for a host of other reasons besides the important climate one!
