Sometimes it’s funny being a person in recovery. I just finished reading a well-regarded, beautifully written novel that I gave five stars to. But if you asked me what it was about, I’d say “six alcoholic college students who treated each other very badly to the point of murder”

Everyone, please meet my Great-Great Aunt Henrietta Swan Leavitt. I grew up knowing that we had a legend in the family tree—I am AJ Hodges’ daughter and she made sure the whole family knew.

This one takes a twist, an infuriating (and relieving) twist.

So I had a friend dying in the hospital last week which was really devastating after all these other deaths, but now there's a twist. The hospital told his family he had no brain activity and that it was time to take him off life support. Everyone came to the hospital to say their goodbyes.
