There seems to be two main strategies for Lip Sync Battles, either go all in on a stellar performance, or go for laughs. Tom Holland did both.

See I actually feel like I love it so much because I thought he just wanted to do a stellar performance and wasn’t going for laughs. Like he was so into it that it felt like this was the song he wanted to do that just happened to be by a woman. I guess it’s hard to explain

I'm sure he wanted to do the choreography as close to the original as possible, poor baby hadn't had a chance to really dance for a few years with all the serious acting he was doing and he needed to remind everyone he's a double threat
