Yeah, the takeaway here isn't really about whether someone should shoot Trump. The takeaway is that the US has spent decades creating a culture of gun violence & now we're suddenly shocked & concerned because it's moved from schools & places of worship to political rallies.

It's going to be a while before we can really piece together this dude's motive for trying to merc the former President. I'm not making comment until we get some concrete answers from people smarter than me. All I know is a violent man had a violence done to him. The snake eats itself.

This seems like a genuinely bad idea. Bitcoin is highly traceable, incredibly illiquid, and the value can fluctuate between the time you begin & end a transaction. You would almost be better off paying for things in silver ingots. Cash on the other hand is largely untraceable.

Lost in the ongoing Trumpapalooza is the excellent news that a malaria vaccination developed at Oxford Univ. over the last 30 years and costing only £3 per shot is being unrolled in malaria-prone countries. If it fulfills its promise, this will make an enormous difference to so many lives.
