🌱Some Golden Scepter dahlias in the evening heat. Bah humbug.

🌱 it looks like I may have some seasonal asthma. A bummer when you’re a gardener. 🥹 In garden news, the white hollyhock looks luminous! Thats not a fairy light, just a regular hollyhock in bloom.

A well known liar spoke before the gold standard of known liars when I turned on the TV. I could not change channel fast enough. My poor eyes had to be disinfected after watching the people clapping happily anyway … 🥹🥹🥹

🌱 My first dahlia bloom of the year. 'Bumble Rumble.' A bit bedraggled, but I think she's pretty.

🌱 I believe this one is called the purple haze dahlia. Flowering now next to the lavender patch in bloom. Have s good night!

🌱 After harvesting the garlic I’m planting some buckwheat and zinnias in the same patch. Buckwheat will be in flower in 30 days and should charm all sorts of winged creatures. Hopeful that its not too late for more zinnias.

BREAKING NEWS I finally found a little Begonia Rex escargot this season. 🌱

In all seriousness: the very idea that someone can take highly classified documents, store them in a public place, defy any number of requests, subpoenas, etc., and then face NO CONSEQUENCES AT ALL is genuinely shocking, and should terrify anyone who cares about national security.

🌱Liatris Gay Feather or Blazing Star. We inherited this little stunner and it’s absolutely brilliant for pollinators, and a sunny position.

🌱 Got some newly harvested spuds! Some fingerlings and honeysuckle gold. Do you keep the smaller ones for planting the following year?
Avatar
🌱 The ruling that just came out of Florida is bonkers! 😡 Also here are some second year hollyhocks to start the week.
Avatar
🌱The start of the spuds this year. A bit of rot with the French Fingerlings, but we have more doing better. The Huckleberry Gold? Always a good cropper for us. We grow on bags, so yields are typically lower than in ground.

The true Tiger Lilies have started to bloom. They are such show offs! 🌱🧡 I find these everywhere in the area, including the cemetery up the street. I always wonder which came first, like did my grandma swipe some seeds or did she share them? Maybe a year they were popular and everyone planted? 🤷‍♀️

🌱A sentimental favorite… Bumble Rumble. Part of a living memorial we will carry with us. And it’s a brilliant dahlia. Description in alt text.

@nytimes.com, we're breathless to know: Will your TV critic be covering the MoTown speech or was that a one-time crossover event in your Media Universe

🌱 The first zinnia in the garden this year is lovely! Looking forward to the rest of them showing up before too long. Hope you have a good day!

“At the close of one of the most consequential and least constitutional terms in the Supreme Court’s history, it’s hard to ignore one particularly offensive trend: the right-wing justices’ repeated and patronizing attempts to minimize the importance of their unprecedented decisions.”

Alright! I admit it🌱 Brought home the red veined sorrel. Couldn’t help myself. The colours were so nice. Mrs D wants it as ground cover with the basil in the tomato patch in our front yard.
