Hoo boy it’s gonna be a rough couple weeks in the old Brett household I tell ya what.

Giving the Cybertruck away in Fortnite as a quest reward actually makes me actively not want to play it, I don’t want to unlock it by mistake.

i feel like it is often a mistake to assume competence on the part of politicians but there is something theoretically fun about letting the GOP lock themselves loudly and vociferously into their ticket then pulling the rug out by exploiting the more marginal affordances of incumbency

Normal Day

Another Crab’s Treasure is really losing me with the pacing of the back half, I still think it has great ideas, but wow the readability of these later areas is pretty bad. I’m kind of impressed the lengths at which they’re sticking to theme with a lot of these areas.

Man weird lil things like, How you drop an estus if you’re attacking midheal and How finnicky picking up shells with your weapon is, it’s just alot of weird lil bits pulling down Another Crabs Treasure from being something really special. The level design is really cool and rewarding!

Another Crab’s Treasure finally unlocks a cool system that switches up how weapons work way too late in the game! Seems like kind of weird thing to hide so far down a skill tree. That and there’s some weird sign posting in a lot of areas. Finally hit my stride with the game tho!

It’s funny seeing folks talk about Naughty Dog and their favorite game of theirs being Crash Bandicoot, when its obvious they’ve moved on from those games decades ago. It’s probably mostly nostalgia, but imagine how many smaller goofy platformers they could make with the budget for Last of Us 2.
