This is incredible news out of France - the left really saved the center's bacon. It has always seemed that the true cordon sanitaire for the center and right in the amnesiac 21st century was not against the far right but the left.
i am no more convinced of a sort of cohesive, legible through line of the recent string of political defeats for the global right than i was of a through line for its surge but it will be interesting to see if it gets the same heady thinkpiece treatment!
Wow, it's weird how the media narrative of a far right populist wave keeps crashing against reality in every country that actually requires them to win a majority of votes to take power
The 2nd leading pollster projects a similar result—if anything a higher range for the Left coalition.
This wld be a much stronger result than expected for the Macron bloc.
If confirmed, key takeaway: Left & Macronist voters transferred onto each other much more than expected. Clear anti-RN front.
JUST IN: Polls closed in France. Exit polls show surprise:
—Left coalition (New Popular Front) projected first. (!)
—Far-right (RN) has lost its bid to take power. Anti-RN front appears to have worked very well.
—No bloc close to majority.

who says cops never do anything. they are currently ruining my entire day by making extremely wide helicopter circles overhead about a crime they clearly only vaguely know to have occurred
traveling back in time to tell my ancestors who fought in the great wars of western history that sometimes i watch little videos of a french lady pretending to be a space scientist whispering about running brain tests on me to help me fall asleep, in order to instantly obliterate my bloodline
what if little spright creatures picked me up and took me to the bathroom to brush my teeth and put serums and salves on my face. because i'm very sleepy. just something to think about
“The car was apparently confused by some construction signs and reportedly ran a red light before pulling over in a parking lot to let the officer talk to one of Waymo’s support representatives.”
anyway here’s the apartment i constructed for my mom’s puppy since she was being so cavalier about needing stuff for him. i hope i thought of everything! she’s getting him tomorrow!
Did it again earlier today. The current update is that Eric Garland says he is close to being thrown in jail by family court, but behind his ex-wife's machinations...a hidden hand
logged into Twitter for the first time in a while to look up some freaks I haven't seen in a long time. I was not disappointed with where they're at now.
listen they can’t all be stunners and in the future i might just lean into the spanish tortilla situation and double up the potato but i can highly recommend the linguica, potato, roasted red pepper, onion, and gouda frittata flavor profile
for the last two years i have had a very posh stylish sort of welted bath mat but it kept slipping so i finally gave in and got a classic soft carpety pile one with the rubber backing and every time i walk through the bathroom is a little joy for my feet. embrace tradition
unfortunately this seems like the way to go. with the potatoes the frittata's starting to veer into spanish tortilla territory, and with the oily sausage and the creamy gouda it makes for a pretty heavy, rich main. a bright garlic, lemon, and pepper flakes kale situation is what it needs
or. OR!!! i could nix the kale, which is the part i hadn't really thought through very well (steam? saute? how long? etc.) and do a linguica, yukon potato, onion, roasted red pepper, and gouda frittata. maybe saute the kale or do a massaged kale salad as a side for the sardine toasts later on
i COULD make my silly little frittata for dinner which is not a lot of work but nonetheless involves chopping an onion, slicing a linguica, slicing a kale, and shredding a gouda, or. OR. i could put some sardines on some bread
Stephen Miller now following Trump's lead and saying he has nothing to do with Project 2025.
1. His organization is on the Project 2025 advisory board.
2. He recorded a video as part of Project 2025 training tools
3. You can see Mandate for Leadership, the Project 2025 publication in the background
