Hello John, it's Tim, I hope this email finds John well. Tim was wondering if John had sent in that report John and Tim had finished yesterday or if Tim should do it.
• You missed “I”
• I missed one
• *Tim missed one
Funny that all three sentences would be identical (“Tim missed Tim’s pronoun”) under the no-pronoun rule. “Dammit” would also probably be “Damn Tim’s blunder”
"Hello John, Tim here. Tim hopes the email here finds John well. Tim was wondering if John had sent in the report John and Tim had finished yesterday or if Tim should do the report."

Articles aren't pronouns whether you have grammatical gender or not; they're a separate part of speech.
(The policy, bad as it is, just bans listing your own pronouns in your signature, not using pronouns.)
“I had ‘5 days to correct the behavior.’ If my tribal affiliation and pronouns were not removed after the 5 days, then administrators would meet and make a decision whether I would be suspended...and/or immediately terminated.”
and under Kristi Noem, "terminated" doesn't mean fired
In signature blocks, but still, a public university limiting free speech? Not even a gathering/protest, just written words.
This is probably the clearest example of a slam-dunk first amendment case I have seen in a while.
Of course the puppy killer is behind it.
Not sure, that’s just the AP headline. I think the “branding” policy is to not state your preferred pronouns or tribal affiliation in signature or elsewhere, not that you can’t use any pronouns in correspondence.
The ACLU is all over this, and only one school in the system bothered to enforce jt.
Did the lawmakers even think this through? Did no individuals bring it up to the lawmakers how this is unrealistic? Pronouns are literally part of the English language. It makes the lawmakers and the people of the state look like idiots. (Not using pronouns is hard.)
Oh it will definitely spread unfortunately. There’s dozens of things more important their lawmakers should be focused on but this is an easy win that they can point at and say “we did something” and the idiots who approve of this hatred will all cheer. It’s disgusting.
