it's a pretty good one! I think people might be surprised by how much time we spend doing very dull things or having hard conversations with potential donors (no we don't want your family's "very old" bible) or researchers (no we can't digitize 47 boxes for you by 5 today) but otherwise, it's grand
Ahhh, yes, there's no getting away from these tasks, even, I suspect, at another of my what-if-I-had-gone-to-library-school dream jobs, Harris Tweed archivist. I bet you'd still spend your time parrying demands from well-meaning people from your office in a castle on an island in the Hebrides.
