Apparently there's discourse this morning about pirating fiction and I feel it is time, once more, to bring up how awesome libraries are. And your local library might not be awesome (yet), but you can get active in your community to fix that.

Unearthing a neutral eyeshadow palette my wife doesn't use that's full of soft browns and lovely maroon-tinted shades. This is mine now.

Talking to my mom about @planetx.bsky.social's GALAXY, and she says she wouldn't have 'made the leap' to it being a trans fable if I hadn't basically shoved it in her hands. Story is literally about a princess forced to live her life pretending she's a boy until she just can't pretend anymore.

Very gratifying, when my aesthetician and I were greeting each other and catching up, for her to pause and go "Are you changing you voice?" Literally still just doing the little exercises the voice doc gave me when she said 'that's it for now, call back in August' <3

Okay, just introduced myself to a mom at the kid's new school setting up a playdate ahead of the first day of school. I'll be going to that as one of two moms, meeting new folks, socially, as me. It'll be fine.

Not sure whether the kid saying how much they liked my 'soft and beautiful hair' or me having to ask them to change how we were cuddling during reading time (because my chest hurts) was the nicer gender moment tonight. Today was a good day.

Nothing better than looking up an old friend who you see logging into FFXIV on Lodestone, and crafting them up a gear set to send off via Mogmail to round out their kit <3

I woke up and just had this awesome idea for what can help with the fact that wastewater indicates COVID non-spike baseline numbers are higher now than they were in 2020/2021: the government should set up some sort of center for disease control. That might really help. Who can I write to about this?
