Oo – yes. We played a bunch of Agon and had a really great time. Frenemy heroes strive for glory and the gods’ favour in Ancient Greece, with a system that encourages character expression in every contest.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is an amazing game. I love turn-based small-unit strategy games, Marvel, and deckbuilders, so I’m right in the middle of its Venn diagram, but even so. It’s generous (maybe too generous), bonkers, charming, and ingenious. Took me 50 hours to finish and I loved every second.

Entertainingly, in the next village along from this one there is ANOTHER Old Forge which has ANOTHER horseshoe pile, but that one is a mere 13 or so feet high compared to this one’s towering 17 feet. They must be livid.

Issue 9 of the new Conan run from @jimzub.bsky.social and De La Torre is such a feast for fans. Absolutely lavish art, audacious use of Howard’s wider canon, an ingenious cameo from a character I’d never have expected to see in this context, and even a whole new map! This is a great run.

Finished the omnibus of @charlessoule.bsky.social and Ryan Browne’s CURSE WORDS: in which an evil wizard comes to destroy our world, realises he likes it here and decides to be a good guy instead but is TERRIBLE at it. Outrageous and hilarious, with a canny eye for long-term storytelling. Loved it.
