I'm certainly not a Bolivia expert. I've just been hearing about multiple disturbing political developments in northern SA lately. Milei, Ecuador, El Salvador, ... the political assassinations in Mexico. And of course there's Haiti. I probably should not conflate them.

No, you're right. While there are regional tensions and postcolonial conflicts all over Mexico, Central, and South America that have their own unique local histories, I strongly feel that it's important to look at current destabilization through the lens of climate change
