Used the leftover lemon pasta from the alfredo I made the other night to make a pasta salad. Dressing is red wine vinegar, garlic olive oil, vegetarian Parm, dried herbs. Massaged kale (I know, but it DOES taste better) multicolor tomatoes, and chopped fresh mozzarella. It's delicious.
I actually have fresh basil growing and even hazelnuts just on hand, and I'm thinking "finally, I am the person whose pantry 'just some basic pantry staples' makes sense in these nonsense recipes" but then, wtf is "fresh rocket"? (Turns out arugula? We'll use baby spinach)
I absolutely think it's important and good that we get viral stories when women electeds have their kids on the floor with them. AND, you just wouldn't have seen this 10 years ago and it's so normal now.
New work computer, new sticker from @abistevensart.bsky.social for labeling. I have matching covers for my tech in galaxy print, with stickers coded to use. This one is a reminder that loving my work doesn't make it synonymous with my human value.
Oh I like those, high waist, with a cute t or tank. My professor standard look is high waist pencil skirt with graphic tees. So summer time the same thing with a more relaxed skirt.
I just started using the Whering app to catalog my wardrobe and got rid of half my dresses. I found that what I kept were mostly fitted dresses with a more fitted high waist, but not a clear cut below boobs. Got rid of so many A-line stuff. Makes me feel to matronly.
This Loving Day proclamation hangs outside our bedroom door recognizing the June 12 holiday as well as commemorating this day, 20 years ago, when our City Clerk David Rushford defied Romney's order to not issue licenses and instead waived the 3 day wait, opened city hall early, & got a wedding cake.
Tens of thousands of same-sex couples have gotten married since it first became legal in Massachusetts 20 years ago today. Here are four couples stories.
Now having fallen down an ADHD rabbit hole of "who is this woman," the titles of her published work make me increasingly infuriated. I have spent my career fighting the stigma of youth as a social problem, and she's trying to codify it in the literature.
I'd like to know what the runners up are for other potential sources of the "Spanish expression" "lemonade I drink, the Jew I pulverize." Like, this is *thought* to be the source, but there might be other sources?
I just found the handwritten tally sheet and eval from my first semester teaching, adjunct, a 440 level course, a year shy of my doctorate. Of all the questions, the vast majority are agree/strongly agree. On prep and organization neutral was equally weighted to those and this was the whole feedback
I missed it and was trying to catch up and WTF is this FRAMING? I can absolutely see that's not what happened, and agree with you, and I'm going to guess this headline was generated. So gross
It's actually real. I found the zero balance in my account last week but got the official, printable notification today. Absolutely unbelievable. I'm sharing because others may not realize you're eligible.
I've seen this going around and went to the source. Not only is it absolutely what they've been saying they want to do, just out loud, the accompanying video is about the issues with hormonal birth control. Which, of course, lots of feminists have raised as well. Our solution is better healthcare.
Just got notification of a payment from my escrow account for the "controversial" tax "hike" the Chamber of commerce spent tens of thousands trying to defeat last year. This tiny bit of extra tax, collectively, unlocks millions in state funding for affordable housing, recreation, and community.
This was a depressing Facebook memory from 9 years ago. My now 10 year old at one of her first pro-choice postcard writing parties. "My body my choice" was one of the first clear justice values she had. Now it's not legally true.
My new office decor/attempt to ward off the seasonal effectiveness malaise. A gift from my MIL for Hannukah. Hoping the bright light and eventual flowers are mood lifters!
