There's no longer any ceiling to how wackadoodle Republican lawsuits can go. As @elliemargolis.bsky.social has flagged, the sovereign state of Missouri, being unable to invade or embargo New York, has instead sued it before SCOTUS to try to aid Trump, because ... reasons.

Yale Law prof Jed Rubenfeld has been defending the suit on the other site (even claiming credit for the idea).
Even if this wasn't legally ridiculous, there is no way SCOTUS will sign off on this b/c it would mean WAY more work for them.

Just saw on the other site that Jed Rubenfeld (sexually harassing Yale Law prof with regressive views about rape) has endorsed this lawsuit (even saying it was his idea). I stumbled into having the ideal scholarly nemesis - he manages to be wrong about everything.
