NPR has released a poll today indicating opinions among voters about the presidential race remain statistically tied, despite President Biden’s notably poor performance in last month’s presidential debate. READ: loom.ly/7WfG1dE

After Biden's debate performance, the presidential race is unchangedloom.ly The poll also found that, at this point, no other mainstream Democrat who has been mentioned as a replacement for the president on the ticket does better than President Biden.

Some org needs to do this. The data is v clear that since GHWB dem presidents are better on the economy than rs yet when polled the public seems to think rs are better. We don’t address this enough

It would be great if there was some kind of scorecard for these guys. Has Summers ever been right about anything?

the shift to dominance of the NE has been a real issue for the West, which has little representation on SCOTUS & thus not much experience with some of the major issues of our time (little things like water, "the border" (by which Rs mean the border with Mexico), stewardship of public lands, etc.)

In the 19th century, justices "rode circuit"--they were not only members of the SCOTUS but also served as judges on intermediary courts (there were no separate circuit judges!). There they were *representatives* of the circuit in question. Justices were selected FROM & based on their circuit. 2/

Whether Biden drops out or continues, I expect a primary target of foreign info operations this year to be the legitimacy of the Democratic candidate and the legimitacy of the courts in relation to the the GOP candidate. Expect them to target audiences on both sides and exploit organic criticism.
