stumbled onto this lynda Barry comic again which always makes me a little verklempt

So, if I understand correctly, Jack, the hero of the story, breaks into the giant’s house, steals all his stuff then kills him. And the giant never did one bad thing to him.

The realization that if Toy Story was set in our house it would be a straight up horror movie.

I always thought it was Leonard Berenstain.

Saw that Oppenheimer. Nolan’s real strength is in depicting the logistics of these pivotal critical moments. Both this and Dunkirk were riveting on that front. Oppenheimer felt less successful actually grappling with the larger philosophical concepts at play.
