Having bought three versions of The Emperor’s New Lipstick, I broke down and went to Ultima for some advice. They sold me the perfect lip color for $10 and a tinted moisturizer for $39! (I didn’t ask about the price when she handed it to me because I figured it was in the same neighborhood.)

Today I learned that Keanu Reeves was in a movie he really didn’t want to make - he rejected the script, but the guy who was making it wanted him so badly he forged his signature on the contract. Keanu didn’t want to go through a lawsuit so he went ahead and made it.

Do you remember the "cultural destabilization plot" around Russell Crowe back in 2001? Where the FBI followed him around for reasons that seemed really wild: Crowe being kidnapped (by Al Queda, allegedly) to upset Americans. This seems like a more refined version of that plot.

My work email from Friday all the way back to June 2023 has gone missing, and I gone through two levels of IT people who can’t figure out how to fix it. They’re now escalating it to the Outlook specialist. How is this not IT 101? I can’t be the first person this has ever happened to.
