The second thought I had after the news of his death broke was just how many of these kinds of stories are we going to be hearing about now.

Terrible! Money absolutely can buy freedom and hide evidence in a system with such a broken judicial process and system. Wealth protects criminals and by and large most people in power are okay with that.

A single college student speaking out against her university (which did sign the NDA) and a prominent powerful man with a collection of shark-like lawyers? If she ever spoke up she'd have been smeared, sued, and not believed by anyone.
