The three I've found were all being mobbed by Steller's Jays...so...follow the mob

i found stellers jays there ;'9 i just need to start finding the folks on IG who post to ebird, ive asked legit 10 locals and they tell me they MOVE but they HAVE a nest loooll

the campground is in killer dark sky turf so itll be a good place for astro + these birds

I WANT ONE. i know, owls would make absolutely terrible pets. and my cat would be traumatized. but I covet one anyway.

Possession of a raptor without state federal permit is not legal. Find the closest Wildlife rehabilitator in your area & if you can’t, try the Humane Society closest to you or CA fish & game. When I housed & rehabilitated birds of prey, I had permits, even a salvage permit for feathers for educ.

I always love the big-eyed babies, especially when mom is asleep next to them in the nest! Have been privileged to observe two different owl nests (over weeks) in my lifetime. Great pics!
