Okay I just saw something sick as hell. Someone on tiktok had a DO NOT PASS street sign and had it hung on their wall On top of a trans pride flag. Fucking. Legendary.

So, apparently, the Japanese word "futanari" comes from an incredibly cool etymological history. My Japanese is so rusty that I can just barely follow along, but the nutshell version is that it was apparently a way of talking about sex fluidity, parallel to genderfluidity. Go read! It's neat!!

TIL an early use of the word "futanari" was in Kyokutei Bakin's 1804 novel Shōsetsu hiyokumon. But also that it was written 半月.

Today I achieved a homemade version of one of my very favorite foods in the world: Cochinita Pibil. And dear God was it worth the fuss.

Your first draft is going to stink. As will your second draft. And your third. But you need those awful earlier drafts to get to the good drafts later on.

I know it's cliche as hell, given how queer I am But Every single time I've listened to Pink Pony Club, it's left me crying at feeling seen.

I don't think everyone is "suddenly" having adhd and autism. I think millennials were raised by parents who were ashamed of having children that weren't "normal" so we were forced to mask so hard that we "seemed" normal but were "just a little strange" and now we're all learning to unmask.

I keep getting the sense that Some Shit Has Gone Down Somewhere semi-recently, and yet I have absolutely no idea what the aforementioned shit might've been. I consider this a massive win. And no, I don't *want* to know.

bluesky has now reached the stage of social media that twitter lived in, where some days I get on here and I am pretty sure there is something wild going down just out of my line of sight, but because of my curation habits all I'm getting are reasoned threads trying to parse nuance on it w/o context
