i refuse to call ED drugs, men on muscle building supplements, and men who Do Stuff To Not Bald anything but gender affirming care lately love to piss off a Macho Man
i dont judge people for the things they do to better align with societys expectations of their presentation and performance, feels shitty to blame the individual for breaking under societal pressures
like i wouldnt be shit about a woman trying to lose weight or getting cosmetic surgery or anything like that at all (barring her perpetuating the same hurt shes feeling) so like
let me clarify:
100% literally is and it is certainly not something i say to “shame” people unless trying to get the uninformed to see things on a level playing field ☺️
(and also going bald is one of my biggest fears and has only become even more so since coming out 🫣)
Oh yeah, it's more of a society-wide thing.
And yes it absolutely 100% is. It's truly weird how people who take proactive measures to prevent male pattern baldness...are shamed and ridiculed for it???
Literally. Like the only "acceptable" male option is to shave it clean off and fully fuck that
not that weird, the only thing worse in the eyes of society than not fitting gender roles is /trying/ to fit them. it must be effortless or it is shameful
i didn’t read dom that way BUT it made me realize i COULD be misread lol
between the high nd population on this app (it me) and all the inter-queer drama this week, im just trying to be CRYSTAL fuckin clear hahaha
i find anti-baldness drugs as gender affirming care interesting because not being bald is absolutely a beauty standard for men, but is entirely divorced from biology; you literally have to block the effects of testosterone. good example of gender being way more social than people like to believe.
I'm not even joking, but as an egg (really deep in closet/since I'm a re-transitioner, it's complicated)...I did this mental gymnastics thing around saying "childfree as a third gender."
Honestly yes, since I’m gay as hell I don’t need BC but use a hormonal arm implant to stop my periods entirely because of my endometriosis. It’s pain-management and very gender-affirming care!
