If you’ve never seen Dorothea Lange’s photographs of the World War II internment camps and the Japanese-Americans who were imprisoned there, today is a good day to see them and to commit to making sure this never happens again. anchoreditions.com/blog/dorothe...

Remember how I said I was inking a graphic novel last year? THIS IS IT!!!!!!!! It was such a joy to work on and I can't wait for everyone to read it! 😊💖

Get ready for some EPIC behind the scenes content!! Actually, this whole book is kinda behind the scenes content. But with characters and a story. It’s pretty cool, I’m so excited to share. 😁
Raina drew the "real" scenes, and I did all the kids' art, plus some other art extras. And most importantly, we collaborated deeply on the layouts and script. TONS of back-and-forth (during three drafts).

Comics are for everyone. Not “every comic is for everyone.” More like “there is a comic for everyone.” And also “every comic is for someone.” What else can I overthink for you?

True of graphic novels, too. I know you read it in 45 minutes, but it took me four years to write and draw that. T__T
Whispering very gently into the void that if you review a comic online and your main qualm is there isn't enough of it/it's too short, docking stars hurts the creator in question who has to live and die by review scores. If you loved it and want more, rate it highly!

Visual storytelling is so important in comics! Characters' body language, clues or design details of the background, or even breaking reality with a visual metaphor. The picturea aren't just there to show what literally happens in a story, but to give clues, foreshadowing and metaphor
In a comic, the pictures are the text just as much as/if not more than the words are the text.

I was hesitant to get on here bc I mourned the downfall of Twitter for a while, then felt better without it. Healthier! But it’s nice to see all your smiling bluesky faces here, I like y’all. And I like ✨comics✨, that hasn’t changed.
