it me, the guy who ran a red light on a bike once and thus immediately justified the removal of all bike infrastructure and safety measures everywhere. sorry about that
Tired of people who associate bicyclists running reds with new bikelanes, implicitly questioning whether they should exist. It’s bad when bicyclists buzz or hit peds. But as someone who doesn’t do that on a bike, you imply that making my kid and I less safe to pay for the sins of others is fine

It’s so very typical of Halifax that 200m of multi-use pathway being installed in one of the densest parts of the urban core (following consultation over the last 10 years) is contentious and protested by residents. It’s shameful that a former urban planner has taken up their cause.

My 40 minute subway ride home just took two hours and involved two miles of walking. But congestion pricing would be mean to that huge number of NJ folks who apparently drive into midtown Manhattan for a sandwich or whatever Kathy Hochul says.

(3/*) Redlining and heritage clauses in deeds didn't just deny Black folks the ability to have access to White neighborhoods, it also allowed White real estate developers to artificially shape markets for Black families seeking housing. It provided a lever to make Black housing more expensive.

Tokyo needs bike lanes so badly. There is only one near me, and it's always filled with trucks stopping for deliveries etc. It's close to meaningless cause every road it feeds into lacks lanes. Everyone has a bike, no-one can ride one safely. You either weave between pedestrians or between cars

Oh dang, it just hit me There are people that don’t want people in general to live longer. Living longer means more social service needed Prime worker age then kick the bucket… All that bike lane stuff is counter productive to consumerism (not the mom and pop shop type)

This is the way to address bad parking and erratic driving/riding by delivery workers. I'm not saying everything delivery workers do is justified and noble but it sucks to see urbanists throw delivery workers - especially delivery riders - under the bus without considering the systemic causes.
The things delivery workers do that piss you off are almost all to with their conditions. If you're paid a pittance per drop or are salaried but severely punished for failure to meet an impossible schedule, you're likely to cut corners. Your problem is with delivery companies.
