For no reason at all I've found myself thinking about John Dean's August 16, 1971 Nixon administration memorandum entitled “DEALING WITH OUR POLITICAL ENEMIES." Presumably such memos have now been deemed totally legal and cool by the Supreme Court.

Linda is one of those people I only came to know through Twitter. We never met in person, but we followed each and talked about books and history. Such a loss. One that remind me of my own mother's passing, another NYC Jewish feminist historian. May her memory be a blessing.
