For those who may not have LinkedIn accounts, here’s 23 hours in. The first bottle of wine has mostly absorbed into the beans. The meat is brisket and short rib. There’s onion and Anaheim peppers. There’s also 2 cans of tomatoes and my spice mix that I made this morning. The hot dogs are lunch.

It works. I find that smoking it on my Big Green Egg adds a nice flavor.

I’ve thought about doing this. Does you Dutch Oven handle the tomatoes okay?

It does. A good seasoning gets the job done. Or grab a cheap Le Creuset when Amazon puts them on sale.

Mine’s got a good seasoning. And my wife would kill me if I put a Ls Creuset on the grill. But the tomatoes gave been holding me back. I should give it a shot.
