I'm 7 years sober today! The first months when I stopped drinking were hard. But every year has been better than the last, and if you're ever thinking about sobriety for yourself I'm happy to talk to you about it. I remember how hard it was to decide to finally do it.
Congrats! I always remember when you posted something like "I didn't have a rock bottom. I decided that wasn't my path. I decided to do this now to avoid that."
That always stuck with me.
I think sometimes people get tangled up in the words, too. In terms. In the checklists.
I don't know if that's necessary. Like, if I'm drinking too much caffeine and it's giving me the jitters, me cutting back or even cutting it out is good *for me* (as a mild example). We don't need BIG MOMENT
(not to belittle giving up drinking with coffee! just that I something think we over focus on labels and terms, and I often used your phrasing from the time as a centering point of "is this good for me, right now" - so just wanted you to know)
