Of the roughly 500 Bernie ex-staffers in our FB group, almost all of us are just doing useful organizing work with no celebrity at all, so while your point is a good one, I don't want to let the crappiest leftists define us either
No, it doesn’t define all of you, but the point is that having been a Bernie staffer doesn’t make anyone immune from unbelievably shitty politics. And in several cases, they do have shitty politics. In part because tiny incremental shifts to the left are not an ideology.
there were plenty of staffers who weren’t grifting dirtbags, but they didn’t do enough to overcome the dirtbags. the Bern App was garbage, they didn’t organize in poor neighborhoods, didn’t come up w separate strategies for older voters, told us to get off twitter but there was no way to volunteer
