It is really amazing what teaching can do for your self-confidence as a researcher. It used to seem a bit crazy to me that someone needed to be a good researcher AND a good teacher to succeed here, but actually doing it myself makes me understand how they really do support one another 👩🏻‍🏫 #polisky

Some useful context as you watch law enforcement on all these campuses is that even when universities have a student very credibly accused of rape, they almost never contact law enforcement.

Rishi Sunak has stated he'll increase the salary threshold for migrants to the UK from £26k to £38k. If that threshold had been in place in 2021, when I started in the UK as a university lecturer, I wouldn't have met it. The average migrant has no chance, and that's the point.
