I like how the American Godzilla movies have this complex Hollow Earth lore to justify the existence of kaijus, and Godzilla Minus One is just like, "Here is Godzilla. As we all know, he lives in the ocean."
Having now read Killers of the Flower Moon and seen the movie twice, I think they're both really good on their own merits even though the movie unquestionably leaves out a lot of detail from the book
