The same people who complain about cancel culture against individuals are fine with collective punishment of entire populations, because, hey, thats got a non-problematic history behind it, right?
A group of federal judges appointed by Donald Trump say they will blackball graduates of Columbia University, ratcheting up a pressure campaign against schools they deem hostile to conservatives www.wsj.com/us-news/educ...

there's some irony here in that they're only blackballing the Federalist Society members that they'd otherwise be hiring (who i suspect are not currently in a tent chanting anti-Zionist slogans)

absolutely - effectively, they are saying the affirmative action for Federalist Society grads only available at certain univerisities

Almost like they don't actually believe their own propaganda, know theres nobody to hold them accountable, do not care about perceived hypocrisy, and these talking points only exist to further their own goals of a rightwing power grab.

Yeah, but these are federal judges. You can't expect them to know that kind of thing.

It’s only cancel culture when it hurts *my* straight white male feelings!

It's got history & tradition on it's side!

Nobody does cancel culture better than fundamentalists. They're just mad when "the lessers" use that power for their own purposes.

These creeps weren’t going to hire students from Columbia anyway… they’re just trying to give other creeps the idea of blacklisting them. They exclusively hire from the pool of far-right hardcore conservative colleges.
