I can't stop thinking about how Trump would eliminate our free, public weather service, NOAA. It's an institution that goes back 53 years and protects Americans everyday with warnings for tornados, thunderstorms and more. That's the Project 2025 plan. www.theatlantic.com/science/arch...
The MAGA Plan to End Free Weather Reportswww.theatlantic.com Project 2025 would all but dissolve the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

if you’re trying to engage with politically disconnected people about project 2025, identify a specific part that you think will resonate with them. i just told my friend who’s a public school teacher about the plan to abolish the department of education and that got her hooked.

JD Vance looks like exactly what he is: a soft-palmed fancy boy who drives his lifted F-350 to his job in finance

I hope he at least gives his acceptance speech with a big cartoon bandage wrapped around his head.

Vance is, you guessed it, an adult Catholic convert

It’s a lot better than trying to crimp them as stand alone pies for sure

I never thought of making them that way, that’s so much easier!!

I thought they’d been hacked! The subject line was just Trump 2024!!

that's actually really surprising to me

question for my historian pals on here, thinking about the immediate attempts to assign ideology to assassins: in the first few days after JFK was killed, did american catholics assume his religion had anything to do with it?

Dear pundits: Please proceed with caution when invoking Lincoln's 1st Inaugural Address, and his appeal to the "better angels of our nature." Remember, it didn't work! Quoting an appeal to unity that was followed by 4 years of civil war should give you pause about the power of such appeals. 🗃️

A man who fakes his wealth paired with a man who fakes his poverty. Sounds about white.

If only some campaign people were on this tiny hellsite

it's incredible the extent to which so many ideas about how voters will react to things in the electoral world tacitly assume that voters are white men.
Avatar
the entire media establishment is there to overvalue the votes of white men; we don't need to help them.

the 80s had a high density of celebrities whose authenticity was hard to figure out, as a kid. like, was Mr. T a real guy? he was like that in shows/movies but also in interviews? or pee wee, elvira, max headroom, various wrestlers. even alf was on celebrity squares. it was a confusing time.

Really appreciate the end paragraph 🗃️: “mourning the state of things is not how we solve problems…[Historians] conduct research like for this piece you are reading, contextualize our findings, and explain why it matters. Findings like these can help us better understand our present situation…”
