I need help finding a take that was fashionable a while ago. What's the theory that's like, superhero/blockbuster movie CGI is a form of art that knowingly disguises the labour and artistry that went into it in favour of presenting it as photoreal, while practical effects display craft and work?

It really is a weird symmetry that this year the UK elections are the 4th of July and the US elections are the 5th of November.

Reform Ltd. are having quite the day. There's this bullshittery from a Reform campaigner, AND the fact that one of their prospective candidates referred to autistic people (yanno, like me) as 'vegetables'.
