Can't wait for this timely conversation with Ben and Shane! Among other things, they'll be discussing how we can keep genuine antisemitism out of our movements, while resisting the false and dangerous equivalency of anti-Zionism with antisemitism in response to the struggle for Palestinian freedom.
Check out my upcoming digital event where I'll be in conversation with Cindy Milstein and Ben Lorber talking about antisemitism, antifascism, and anti-Zionism, and we'll be hosted by @firestorm.bsky.social. It's totally free but you gotta RSVP (for security)! firestorm.coop/events/3215-...

We've found that a flexible division of labor where folks mostly do the things they enjoy / are good at feels much less oppressive than "everyone must do everything" (which was how we started off). Some folks like to change roles every couple years and we can accommodate that.

That might mean we get to a point where no one wants to do something. Those moments are also opportunities. We changed our entire business model in 2018 because no one on our team wanted to do food service work anymore, even though it was 40% of our revenue.

This is a great list on bookshop someone has curated of authors who have recently declined honors from PEN America in protest of its refusal to stand on the Palestinian genocide. These are writers who have forgone opportunity to be courageous in this time of genocide whose work you can support.
