I like how every day I wake up and publishing says "books are worthless, you're worthless, we're putting all manuscripts into a shredder and firing our staff" and my brain scabs over and I go "time to write :)"
Me: Why is publishing so miserly and aloof when it comes to comics?? It’s impossible to sustain a career doing this, I’m tired and broke and each book takes several years to complete!! 😣
Also me: *working on 3 more comic pitches* 🕺
I'm taking a time out with short story & ghostwriting for other fiction projects.
I get paid, don't have to deal with publishers who do things like have you sign a contract, claim there are delays due to the pandemic, then 5 years later dump the book and blame you, saying the book is bad.
