I have long been pretty negative on the function and practice of mainstream news orgs (and their political arms specifically) but this past week has stunned even me in terms of the gleeful cruelty & sheer dismissal of the stakes at hand for our democracy
I have never more strong in the conviction that this is just a game to most of them specifically bc they have never feared even once that they will be subjected to the consequences of politics
