This is The Post under two Murdochians.
The Post can't even wait for Biden's interview today. But they can wait forever, it seems, to write how Trump's dimentia is accelerating with crazy-shit dangerous insanity becoming more common. The Post, too, is broken.

What the fucking fuck. No, it is the self-hating woman and worst columnist south of Manhattan who has a "woman problem". Disgusting. Hateful. The Post, too, is broken.

really great that prominent political journalists won’t just say that trump is lying and here’s why
Huh

There’s no excusing the ways that news media constantly tries to help launder Trumps lies, but after nearly ten years on the scene, we should understand that a lot of voters get that Trump is a notorious liar and that Democrats will be eager to remind them of that every chance they get.
For everyone on here that is worried that voters are as willfully credulous as our news media, the Biden campaign understands that Trumps post about Project 2025 is an admission of vulnerability and they are leaning in harder on tying him to it.

abigail disney’s staggering hypocrisy here is one of the many ways in which you get reminded that even when astronomically wealthy people pay lip service to equality and progressive politics, they understand that the rules they themselves agree with in theory will not be applicable to them

yeah isn't it interesting how they pretend his social media presence doesn't exist right up until he says something that could boost his public perception and then they all post stuff about it within ten minutes of each other
Oh so they DO read his Truth Social profile? That's weird because you think they might have mentioned the post he made about a military tribunal for Liz Cheney

it’s funny how having instant communications about every piece of news you want to read might not be great for you
Up all night reading telegraphs! The first president with instant war communication technology.

The saving grace of Trump in general is that he is completely unable to act w discipline. He'll make a transparently bullshit post like this bc his lizard brain can dimly ascertain that he's getting heat for this but he'll be back to ranting about televised treason trials for his enemies by Monday
Trump distancing himself from Project 2025 is 1) a lie, and 2) indication that they think playing their hand too early jeopardizes their chances.

Again, all of these political reporters generally arent dunces or genuinely credulous. They just dont care to call out Trump on his lies because ultimately they want the same thing he wants: to see him back in power

look at how they've all closed ranks about this to tell you about how he has the last word on this - it's like they're in a Slack channel with Susie Wiles and coordinating their talking points with her

Anyway, my aunt who is the most Midwestern friendly, kind, not ever wanting to rock the boat-type, so I have heard her talk about politics maybe five times in my life. I didn’t know she was a Democrat until maybe a few years ago This woman was ON FIRE yesterday. Couldn’t stop talking about SCOTUS

Told you all that reporters and pundits werent even going to wait for the Stephanopolous interview to start moving the goal posts on it.
Brian what the fuck have you been asking for.

I dont know how you can disagree with the argument that our legacy news media institutions are at best (at best!) indifferent to the end of democracy and the rise of fascism and, far more likely, are perfectly fine with it & invested in attempting to normalize its arrival.
In case you're curious where the Heritage Foundation's warning that we were in the midst of a "second American revolution" that would only remain "bloodless" if the left allowed it to be ran... page 20

This is broadly what's been happening to gender affirmation treatments and other trans issues and is led by the same elite media
1. elite media finds a herd issue 2. elected dems (usually backbenchers) read the columns about it 3. columnists know electeds are reading, write more columns 4. panic sets in 5. columnists want to keep the panic going >>> you are here 6. electeds do something fatally stupid

it’s a circular firing problem, because the dems described here — probably not the majority of electeds, but definitely not a small group — are the ones who live and die by the latest elite media column.
I see this problem with some rank and file Dems too. It's like they conflate Trump loyalists with undecideds and think the undecideds can't be moved by reminding them how awful Trump is. Which is why many of these Dems are so obsessed with replacing Biden with a magical Johnny Unbeatable now.

also they don't really even believe that argument themselves because they report on obviously untrue things that he supposedly believes like "donald trump believes that there shouldn't be a national abortion ban" if they think it will make him look better, as Dana Bash did on her show two days ago
one of the most cowardly arguments i keep seeing from columnists is that nothing breaks through with trump supporters, so it’s a waste of time reporting on what he believes. this should be seen as a critically damning failure on behalf of the fourth estate. this means you failed. it’s not a pass.

2 of the top 3 candidates for the US presidency have shown a repeated willingness to believe any conspiracy dangled in front of them like a set of keys, including wildly anti-american ones, which are straightforward cognitive deficiencies for what we should demand in a president. neither are biden.
i mean, he means he won’t take sides on the “theory” of whether the US government did 9/11 or not, but that doesn’t make this any less insane

I've become convinced that one of the biggest obstacles to better road design in commercial areas is well-off business owners who drive their BMW to work every day and find it impossible to imagine a customer who uses any other mode of conveyance to arrive at the shop.

I really do want to emphasize this point: as a long term Midtown resident, I’ve walked up & down 8th Ave countless times. The sidewalks would frequently get so absolutely choked with pedestrians that ppl were forced to *walk in traffic.* The sidewalk expansions have helped alleviate that.
"The roadway once carried between four and six lanes for motor vehicles, despite 88 percent of people in the area traveling on foot and squeezing into 30 percent of the space." And now Adams wants to give it back to cars?

I am becoming more and more convinced of the idea that business owners are actually some of the dumbest people in this country
Yes, but also businesses have really clear incentives to better understand their customers and they just don't

I live in Hell’s Kitchen and the sidewalk expansions on 8th Ave have been an absolute godsend for managing pedestrian traffic. What is it with Eric Adams and his desire to do the most unpopular, counterproductive shit possible?

Income inequality mentioned once. Near record corporate profits never mentioned. Who is gaining from high interest rates and debt restructuring? Not a peep. How voters are manipulated to blame it all on migrants and protestors. Nada.
