i sure hope it is cause maize is grass. as i understand it it’s true that our lawn grass is invasive but that doesn’t mean the americas didn’t have grasses naturally
Like the whole "touch grass" meme is because it's the most common thing someone might have literally right outside their front door. Calling grass a part of white colonial supremacy is kinda ignoring that grass naturally grows everywhere on the planet except for extremely dry places.
My only issue with grass is that people put it where it shouldn't be and then waste absurd amounts of water to keep it alive when a nicely xeriscaped property looks better for those areas.
Grass is extremely natural and grassland ecosystems (prairie, savannah) naturally covered about 1/3 of the land on Earth. Most of our big herbivores depend on grasslands. 🦬🦓
Lawns are unnatural and bad for the environment, but lawns and grass are not the same thing.
whoa whoa whoa there pal, you can't go straight from this kind of deranged poasting to communing with the wilderness! it'll be a lethal psychological shock to ya!
you gotta start small.
touch some lawn grass. smell a rosebush. hug a tree in a park. THEN you work your way up to wild vegetation.
