Yeah, this is exactly it. I think Missouri still has some insane Satanic-Panic laws about yoga on the books where teachers aren't allowed to use any scary Hindu words, teach mindfulness (just physical poses), must make all activities opt-in with parental consent, and can't say "Namaste".
Also they must disclose to all parents that, and I quote, "Yoga is a form of prayer from the pagan Hindoo religion that traditionally involves the recitation of the names of pagan deities and the induction of hypnotic states. All religious elements of this practice are removed for this class."
