just watched 74 people speaking at least a dozen different languages become american citizens in a ceremony at monticello, where the speakers were themselves children of immigrants. inspiring stuff and a vivid illustration of what reactionaries want to snuff out

So, now that we're a month out from it, can we all agree Kendrick crossed some real fucking lines with his bars? Like, if Kendrick wasn't Kendrick and Drake wasn't Drake we wouldn't have been hooting and hollering at half of this shit.

It actually blows my mind that the first episode of the 90's Batman series had the stones to introduce the character to their viewers by having them fight Man-Bat, a deep-cut villain if there ever was one. One of the many things to respect about that show- they weren't scared of digging deep.

I think Trump using “Palestinian” as a slur should be clarifying to people who care about Palestinian lives. I don’t say this to excuse anything happening now, but because Trump put up a blaring siren with this that things *will* be worse for Palestinians if he wins.

Both the “black jobs” remark and using palestinian as a slur are hopefully clarifying as to actual Trump’s ideology and worldview, in contrast with the imaginary trump some people have built up in their heads as the memory of his administration has receded
