That’s exactly what it feels like, too.

We got up there a few years ago out here and it felt like the end of the world. Like, the air looked different.

It’s really hard to put into words if you haven’t experienced it. Though back home people love to talk about how “it’s a dry heat” but at a certain temperature that means less than nothing.

Yeesh

And my family has the nerve to wonder why I don’t visit between like May and September. Won’t catch me spontaneously bursting into flames.
