Like many others my age, I watched it live in school after so much hype and excitement was built up for it. It was an overwhelming and moving experience to have visited the memorial at Kennedy.

Today is the 38th anniversary of the Challenger explosion. 🧵 This crew and flight is a core Gen X memory, since we all watched it live at school (cause, Christa McAuliffe). I was excited to see a Black man from SC who went to school right up the road at A&T on the crew.

I for one welcome our Pit Overlord.

I am thankful for the extra pie I made and did not take to my family gathering. In this circumstance, I posit that a deep-dish dutch apple pie simply cannot be improved upon. I came home to a lovely smelling house, a ready pre-bed snack that is still warm, and breakfast tomorrow is all sorted.
